Getting Started

Use this section when you are new to SynckHub and need the shortest reliable path from first sign-in to real team work.

SynckHub is a repository workspace. Files matter, but they are not the whole product. A repository can also hold notes, tasks, chats, companies, contacts, cases, shared links, version history, and connected mail or calendar workflows.

The important first rule is simple: keep work in the right repository context. Use Explorer to work, Search to retrieve, and sharing controls to keep access scoped.

What you will set up

By the end of this section, you should be able to:

  • explain the SynckHub workspace model
  • sign in and open the correct tenant and repository
  • choose the right client for web, desktop, and mobile work
  • build a first usable folder structure
  • upload and append files without losing context
  • share folders, files, and public links safely
  • find work with Explorer and Search
  • understand file history, versions, and restore workflows
  • download or export content deliberately
  • keep clients current after releases

Before you begin

Have these in place:

  • a SynckHub account
  • access to at least one tenant and repository
  • permission to create content in at least one folder
  • a supported browser, usually Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • SynckHub Desktop if your work depends on local editing, sync sessions, or Save As ingestion

If you cannot sign in or cannot see the expected repository, start with your tenant or platform administrator. That is an access problem, not a documentation problem.

What to avoid on day one

Do not begin with broad root sharing, large migrations, custom metadata schemas, or guest-heavy workflows. First prove that one real team can create, discuss, assign, share, find, and recover work in one repository.
